HOW TO GET THERE?

Barranquilla is at one hour from the intersection of two major arterial roads of Colombia: The Magdalena Highway (which connects with Bogota) and the Caribbean Highway, which connects at the east to Santa Marta, Riohacha, Maicao for later link to the Venezuela’s road network, and to the southwest communicates Barranquilla with Cartagena then linking with the Western Highway, communicating it after with Sincelejo, Monteria and Medellin.

The Parallel Ocean Highway communicates Barranquilla with the touristic coast area of Atlantico and Cartagena de Indias. By air, there are domestic flights from the principal cities of the country. Most flights from outside must stop at the El Dorado International Airport at Bogota.

Some cities with direct international flights are: Miami (Avianca) and all the countries of Central America with connections in Panama City (Copa Airlines).
